Young rising star batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered a heroic performance, smashing the fastest-ever IPL century in just 35 balls to script a memorable Rajasthan Royals win over Gujarat Titans in Jaipur. Chasing 210, RR went home in just 15.5 overs, keeping their IPL 2025 playoff hopes alive and breaking a five-match losing streak.
Suryavanshi’s knock, filled with seven fours and 11 sixes, saw him not only become the youngest centurion in T20 history but also register the fastest fifty of IPL 2025 off just 17 balls. The teenager tore into the Titans’ bowling attack, scoring 28 runs off Ishant Sharma and 30 off debutant Karim Janat in a single over. He eventually fell for 101 off 38 balls, walking off to a standing ovation and hugs from teammates.
Yashasvi Jaiswal played the perfect supporting role, finishing unbeaten on 70 off 40 balls. Earlier, Gujarat Titans posted 209/4 after being asked to bat first, with captain Shubman Gill leading from the front with his 84 and Jos Buttler adding an unbeaten 50.

The southpaw reached his hundred in just 35 balls, the second-fastest IPL century ever, behind only Chris Gayle’s 30-ball ton in 2013. He smashed 11 sixes and seven fours, with 94 of his runs coming in boundaries. Notably, he brought up his milestone with a pulled six off Rashid Khan. Earlier, Suryavanshi also became the youngest player to score a fifty in IPL history, reaching the feat in just 17 balls.

While Suryavanshi grabbed the headlines, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s contribution was not far behind. The left-hand batter remained unbeaten on 70 off 40 deliveries, hammering nine boundaries and two sixes. He made sure to use his experience and play second fiddle while his junior teammate was hitting the GT bowlers all over the ground. The duo’s 166-run opening stand took the game away from Gujarat.

In the first innings, GT batters too had a good day, especially skipper Shubman Gill (84) and Jos Buttler (50*). The duo unsettled the RR bowlers and kept the scoring rate ticking despite wickets falling. Gujarat, which at one point looked set to finish at 250, was restricted to 209 due to the regular fall of wickets.
