The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) honored MS Dhoni with a special souvenir after the clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 7 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. CSK registered their third victory in the IPL 2025 after defeating the defending champions.
The specially designed souvenir had a list of all international cricket matches hosted by the iconic venue in Kolkata from 1934 to the present date. It was presented to the CSK skipper by CAB President Snehasish Ganguly to acknowledge his tremendous career and contribution to the sport.
The CAB Honorary Secretary Naresh Ojha and several other officials were present during the honouring of the Indian veteran. The image posted on Instagram by the CAB went viral, showing the wicketkeeper-batter receiving the souvenir from all the officials present on the ground.

Speaking of the match, the three-time champions lost the game in a thrilling encounter against CSK. In the first innings, KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane top-scored with 48 runs and an overall effort from the other batters took the team to 179 even as left-arm spinner Noor Ahmad picked up four wickets.
In the second innings, CSK debutant Urvil Patel smashed 31 runs in 11 balls and middle-overs were handled by Dewald Brevis, who smashed 52 off 25 balls. In the end, Shivam Dube (45 off 40) and the right-handed legend took the team over the finishing lines and avenged their earlier loss against KKR.
Meanwhile, KKR will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 10 and CSK, having already been eliminated from the tournament, will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) on May 12.
