IPL 2025 Memes: Hilarious Reactions from RCB vs GT, Match 14 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium

Gujarat Titans (GT) handed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) their first defeat in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Wednesday, April 2, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Gujarat won the toss and opted to field first on Wednesday. Arshad Khan struck in the second over as he dismissed Virat Kohli. Mohammed Siraj opened his account by dismissing Devdutt Padikkal in the third over. Phil Salt lived dangerously before being dismissed by Siraj, who was in red-hot form against his former side.

Rajat Patidar perished in the seventh over as RCB slumped to 42/4. Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone steadied the ship with a vital partnership of 52 runs. However, the former could not capitalise on a promising knock. Krunal Pandya also failed to make it count as RCB lost six wickets for 104 runs in the 15th over.

Livingstone had his lifelines, and he made it count by scoring a 40-ball 54. Tim David played a crucial knock of 32 off 18 balls at the back end of the innings to take RCB to 169/8. Siraj was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged three wickets for 19 runs in his four overs. Meanwhile, Sai Kishore also impressed with his two-for.

In reply, Gujarat got off to a steady start with Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan playing Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar with an air of caution. There was movement for the seamers, but it wasn’t as concerning as in the first innings.

Shubman got off to a sedate start before being dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the fifth over. Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler carried GT forward with an air of nonchalance. Their partnership of 75 runs from 47 deliveries knocked the wind out of RCB’s sails.

The southpaw departed in the 13th over, one run short of a half-century. Sherfane Rutherford came in as the Impact Player, and he formed an unbeaten 63-run partnership with Buttler to take the Titans home. Buttler finished unbeaten on 73 off 39 balls, hitting five fours and six sixes. Gujarat reached the target with eight wickets and 13 balls to spare.
