Gujarat Titans dominated Rajasthan Royals in Match 23 of IPL 2025 and also had the last laugh in a social media battle. The digital showdown was won after the game ended in GT’s favour at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by a margin of 58 runs.

After the loss, Rajasthan Royals posted an iconic scene from the renowned Indian sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, involving Bagha, in which he left everything to fate and decided to sleep rather than worrying.

GT were prompt in responding to RR’s tweet, and followed the same template as they uploaded a clip from the same show in which Jethalal, a character from the show, was shown being lulled into sleep by his father Champaklal, taking a jibe over their rivals after defeating them.

Meanwhile, the Titans have historically dominated the Royals. The 58-run win in Ahmedabad was their sixth victory against the 2022 finalists. Interestingly, GT won their maiden IPL title by defeating the same opposition at the same venue that year.

Coming to the game, Sai Sudharsan was awarded the Player of the Match for his stunning 82-run knock in 53 deliveries. The southpaw also ended up hanging on to a couple of catches in the run-chase. As far as the bowling department is concerned, Prasidh Krishna, an ex-RR player, was the standout performer with a three-wicket haul in his four-over spell.

With this win, Gujarat Titans went atop the table with four wins in five games while Rajasthan Royals  fcontinue to remain at the seventh spot with two wins in as many fixtures.
