ILT20 2025: ADKR vs MIE, Match 14 – Stats preview of players’ records and approaching milestones

As things stand close to the halfway point, Net Run Rate (NRR) is the only thing separating MI Emirates (MIE) and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) on the points table of the ILT20 2025 (International League T20). Both teams have won just two of their four matches and, have followed identical patterns of a loss followed by a win, and then another loss followed by a win. Both teams now come into this encounter having won their last respective match.

None of the batters offered much support, but Michael Pepper still made a fifty to take ADKR to a respectable 176 against Gulf Giants. Aayan Afzal Khan was the pick of the bowlers in the first innings. ADKR’s bowlers put in a team effort to make sure that the chase never got going and delivered two very crucial points for their side.

Later that day, MI Emirates made very short work of Sharjah Warriorz. Johnson Charles’ fifty and a vital 39-run knock from Avishka Fernand,o gave Sharjah a strong start. But it all fell apart in the middle overs as no other batter could make a significant contribution.

Fazalhaq Farooqi was once again amongst the wickets carrying on his good form. MI Emirates lost Muhammad Waseem early, but their moderate target of 177 never proved a challenge as Tom Banton slammed an unbeaten 102 with support from an unbeaten 56 from Kusal Perera to get home with more than two overs to spare and losing just one wicket.
