The stars of Indian cricket are very much in the cricketing scene which also includes two-time World Champion Mahendra Singh Dhoni who might have retired from international cricket but will still be part of the upcoming IPL 2025 and will play for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) which will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Though there are a lot of talks around Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his retirement from franchise cricket there are also talks about his possible future after competitive cricket. One of the people who have shared their opinion on Dhoni’s future is current BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla who has shared his opinion on the former Indian cricketer having a great future in politics on which he has openly spoken to BeerBiceps on YouTube.

“I feel Dhoni can become a politician, It is up to him, if he will become a politician or not. Sourav, I always felt he would enter Bengal politics. Dhoni can also be good in politics. He will win easily, he is popular. I don’t know if he will enter politics, it is purely in his hands,”

Shukla also brought up a conversation he had with the former three-time ICC Trophy-winning India skipper where he heard that the 43-year-old legend was entering the Lok Sabha election which Dhoni had denied and also explained his nature of staying hidden from the media.

“I asked him once that I heard that he was going to contest for Lok Sabha seat, he said ‘No, no, no’ It is nature to stay hidden, he doesn’t even keep a mobile phone with him. It was even hard for the BCCI selectors to approach him, as there was no mobile with him, it is his nature to go away from fame or whatever is his nature. He is not a hermit. He does things seriously, there is no lightness in it,” he added.

Dhoni has played 264 matches for CSK and has scored 5243 runs for the side at an average of 39.12 and has a strike rate of 137.53. He is also the second-highest run-getter for the franchise and will be representing CSK for the 18th time this season.
