Star Indian batter Virat Kohli once again registered his name in the history books, becoming the fastest batter to reach 14,000 ODI runs during India’s recent Champions Trophy 2025 clash against Pakistan.
His unbeaten 100 off 111 balls not only helped his side secure a six-wicket victory but also triggered comparisons with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Meanwhile, Kohli is set to play his 300th ODI against New Zealand on Sunday, March 2. If Kohli’s records are compared to that of Tendulkar’s, here is how the numbers stand.
After 299 ODIs, Kohli has scored 14,085 runs at an average of 58.20 and a strike rate of 93.41 in 287 innings with 51 centuries and 73 half-centuries and a highest score of 183. In contrast, Tendulkar had scored 11,537 runs in 290 innings at an average of 44.20 and a strike rate of 86.64, with 33 centuries and 56 fifties.
