‘Even if cricketers send messages, what is wrong with that?’ – Shadab Khan on Pakistan cricketers messaging actresses

There are also often rumours involving cricketers, actors, and social media influencers that make waves all over the world with stories of them dating and courting each other going viral.

Though there are a lot of cricketers who have gone on to marry famous actresses there are also some controversial stories among cricketers and actors as well. One of the cricketers who has opened up on cricketers and actresses messaging each other is Shadab Khan. The spin bowling all-rounder for Pakistan, during a show called ‘Hasna Mana Hai’ on Geo News, was asked by a fan about the same to which Shadab responded, opening up on stories of cricketers with the film industry professionals.

“Even if cricketers send messages, what is wrong with that? Everybody has the option to block so if you don’t like then don’t reply, however, there are also replies from actors and they appear to show interest as well — as if they want to talk,” Shadab said.

“We have seen some videos in which things are exaggerated but it doesn’t turn out like that, some actors do it for fame, like during a tournament or World Cup such things come out because everyone is keeping their eyes on it,” Shadab added.

Shadab’s personal experience 

Last year, famous Pakistani social media influencer Shahtaj Khan claimed that Shadab Khan had messaged her and she proposed to marry him as well even when the 2017 Champions Trophy winner was married to legendary Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter Malaika Saqlain.

“I was disheartened after he got married, which I believe is quite normal when your crush marries someone else. I was talking to him even at that time but had no idea that he was about to get married,” Shahtaj had said.

However, Shadab would deny these claims and also everything she had said about him and his equation with her with a straightforward reply.

“There’s nothing like what’s being claimed,” Shadab said.
