On Saturday, June 6, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi became the youngest player to receive a call-up to the Indian team. The 15-year-old has been picked in India’s squads for the T20Is against Ireland and England and the subsequent Asian Games competition later this year.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a great call by allowing the youngster’s parents to accompany him on the tours to Ireland and England. Sooryavanshi’s father, Sanjeev Sooryavanshi, and mother, Aarti Sooryavanshi, are expected to travel with their son as he takes his first few steps in international cricket.
