The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced the venues for the upcoming Men’s Asia Cup 2025. The highly anticipated group-stage clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan will take place at the Dubai International Stadium on September 14. The tournament will kick off in Abu Dhabi with the opening match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong, while the final is scheduled for September 28 in Dubai.
Despite ongoing outrage in some quarters following India’s decision to face Pakistan in the tournament, particularly in light of the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s response in form of Operation Sindoor, the ACC has moved ahead with venue confirmations amid continued debate.
The tournament, to be played in the T20 format, is designed to help participating teams prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup next year in India and Sri Lanka. India and Pakistan could potentially meet up to three times during the competition. Should both teams advance to the Super Fours, they will face off again, and a third encounter is possible if they reach the final.
The Men’s Asia Cup will run from September 9 to 28. India will begin their campaign on September 10 against the United Arab Emirates at the Dubai International Stadium. Group A consists of India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.
