Angkrish Raghuvanshi named in Mumbai squad after recovering from finger injury

Mumbai have included Kolkata Knight Riders wicketkeeper-batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi in their squad for the Dr (Capt) K Thimmappiah Memorial Trophy 2026-27, marking his return to competitive cricket following a finger injury that required surgery and sidelined him since IPL 2026.

The 22-year-old fractured a finger on his left hand and subsequently underwent an operation in London, which also forced him to miss the T20 Mumbai League in June.

“Angkrish is fit now. Ayush’s injury will take some more time to heal,” Mumbai’s chief selector Rajesh Pawar was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

Raghuvanshi’s inclusion is a significant boost for Mumbai’s batting resources as they prepare for the tournament, with the selectors now able to call on one of domestic cricket’s more consistent young run-scorers after his extended absence.
