Suresh Kumar’s Trichy Grand Cholas finished second on the points table behind Siechem Madurai Panthers on net run rate after winning five games in seven. Their Qualifier 1 clash against the Panthers was washed out and the latter progressed to the final because of their better finish in the standings at the end of the league phase.
On the other hand, Vida Kovai Kings, who are led by Shahrukh Khan, secured the third position on the points table after registering four wins and three defeats in seven games. In the Eliminator, they took on IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans but that game was washed out too.
The Kovai Kingsn had beaten Trichy by 116 runs earlier in the tournament.
