Top 3 T20 World Cup records that seem unbreakable

The T20 World Cup event always stays in full swing, with fans enjoying the matches, giving people historical moments to cherish for life. In addition, it is said that records are meant to be broken, but when it comes to cricket, there have been magnificent performances, leading to the topmost records in cricket that are not that easy to break.

In the same vein, here are the top 3 T20 World Cup records that seem unbreakable.

1. Fastest Fifty by a player – 12 Balls -Yuvraj Singh vs England, 2007, Kingsmead Cricket Ground, Durban

Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh hammered his half-century in just 12 balls against England during the 2007 T20 World Cup, which took place in South Africa. Notably, this has been the fastest fifty in international cricket to date.

A lot of the batters will be on display in the events, so going past Yuvraj Singh will be very hard for the players. The southpaw hammered six sixes in an over in that very contest, another record that seems unbreakable.

The left-handed batter played a crucial role in helping India lift the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup under MS Dhoni’s leadership.

2. Biggest win margin (by runs) – 172 Runs – Sri Lanka vs Kenya, 2007, Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg

The Sri Lanka cricket team posted the highest total in T20 World Cup history as they hammered 260/8 against Kenya and won the game by 172 runs in the inaugural edition of the marquee event. No other side had ever crossed such a total, and it seems that no side is likely to go past Sri Lanka’s score.

Meanwhile, the English side sits in the second spot, having the second-highest team score in the T20 World Cup as they hammered 230/8 against the Proteas back in 2016, which took place in India.

3. Most sixes in an innings
