Top 3 bowling performances of Kemar Roach in Tests

Kemar Roach is one of the most lethal bowlers West Indies ever produced in Test Cricket as he can take wickets on any surface. Apart from that, Roach is also capable of getting swing in any condition which helps him to not let the batters settle down

In his career, he has produced some notable bowling performances, leaving batters bewildered. His bowling performances have helped the Caribbean side win many matches in the longest format of the game. However, the bowler has often remained injury-prone due to which he has only played 81 Tests in his 16 years of career so far and has taken 270 wickets.

Here are three of his top bowling performances in Test cricket:

1. 6 for 48 vs. Bangladesh (2009)

West Indies and Bangladesh clashed against each other in a Test match in 2009. The Bangla Tigers won the toss and elected to field first. They restricted the Caribbean team to just 237 runs however, they couldn’t do much with the bat as Kemar Roach’s wonderful display helped the team to bundle out Bangladesh on just 232 runs. But Shakib Al Hasan’s wonderful knock of 96 runs in the 2nd innings helped the Bangla Tigers to win the match by 4 wickets.

2. 5 for 8 vs. Bangladesh (2018)

This is arguably one of Roach’s best bowling performances in Test cricket. He returned figures of 5 for 4 in 27 balls, helping West Indies bowl Bangladesh out for their lowest total ever in the history of Test Cricket. Roach’s spell included the wickets of all big names Tamim Iqbal, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib and Mahmudullah. Two of them were dismissed for just single-digit scores while three of them registered ducks.

3. 5 for 17 vs. England (2019)
