The Hundred Men’s 2025: Predicting London Spirit XI for match 9

The Manchester Originals and London Spirit will face off in match 9 of the ongoing The Hundred Men’s 2025 competition at the Old Trafford ground in Manchester on August 11.

The London Spirit have played two matches thus far, winning and losing one each. They are fifth on the Hundred 2025 Men’s points table with four points to their name. Oval Invincibles had crushed them in the first match by six wickets but Spirit bounced back with a win over the Welsh Fire.

Here is the predicted London Spirit XI for match 9 of The Hundred Men’s 2025:

Top Order: Kane Williamson (C), David Warner, Jamie Smith (WK)

David Warner finally got into his stride with a 70* against Welsh Fire with eight fours and two sixes. He is the aggressor at the top for Spirit and has full rein to go big. Kane Williamson has 23 runs in the tournament this year, with 14 of those coming in the previous game itself. Jamie Smith joined the XI in the last game and scored 26 with a strike rate of 185.71.

Middle Order: John Simpson, Ashton Turner, Sean Dickinson

Kenton Jennings might be replaced by John Simpson, who has played one game, not getting to do much as he has made 10 runs in 12 balls thus far. Ashton Turner has contributed with the bat and the ball, with 45 runs in two games with a strike rate of 160.71, and has one wicket as well. Sean Dickinson made 14 runs in the only game he played thus far.

Lower Order: Jamie Overton, Liam Dawson

Jamie Overton has taken one wicket for 38 runs in the only game he has played thus far. Liam Dawson has played both the games and has taken three wickets with a best of 2/9 and an economy of 5.19.

Bowlers: Luke Wood, Richard Gleeson, Daniel Worrall

Luke Wood, despite his reputation for quick wickets early on, has only one scalp in two matches to show. Richard Gleeson has also played two games but taken only one wicket. Daniel Worral has done well, taking three wickets with a best of 2/31 for the Spirit.
