Wanindu Hasaranga

Wanindu Hasaranga is one of Sri Lanka’s most aggressive and impactful bowlers in the T20 format. The leg-spinner enjoyed a fine run during his Under-19 days and made a promising start to his domestic career before quickly rising through the international ranks. He made an immediate impact on his ODI debut by claiming a memorable hat-trick against Zimbabwe.

Hasaranga has since established himself as a match-winner in white-ball cricket with his attacking mindset and ability to pick up wickets in crucial phases. In 92 T20Is, he has taken 151 wickets at an impressive average of 15.68 and an economy rate of 6.96, including five four-wicket hauls.

Dushmantha Chameera is a tall and athletic fast bowler who generates sharp pace from a slightly round-arm action. Capable of clocking speeds above 140 kmph, he emerged as one of the fastest bowlers in Sri Lanka at a young age. Although he made his international debut in Test cricket, Chameera gradually transitioned into a specialist white-ball bowler.

The 34-year-old brings experience and raw pace to Sri Lanka’s attack, particularly with the new ball and at the death. In 70 T20Is, he has claimed 78 wickets at an economy rate of 7.94, including two four-wicket hauls.

Dunith Wellalage

Dunith Wellalage is still in the early stages of his international career but has already shown signs of being a promising prospect. While he has played only a handful of matches for Sri Lanka, his performances have drawn considerable attention.

The 23-year-old has featured in just six T20Is, picking up seven wickets at an economy rate of 7.48. With Asian conditions expected to assist spin, Wellalage’s bowling could pose a challenge for opposition batters during the middle overs.
