Uganda are set to end their maiden ICC tournament with their final game of the T20 World Cup campaign against New Zealand. Brian Masaba and his team have played decent cricket on occasions but have been dominated by the opposition bowlers in most matches.
Their biggest point of the tournament came when they defeated Papua New Guinea by 3 wickets. That win will forever be etched in the many of the current Uganda side and will serve as a motivation for the next generation of cricketers.
The Ugandan side will come up against a hurt New Zealand side who have lost both games in the tournament. With New Zealand now out of the reckoning for a place in the Super 8 stages, they will have nothing to fear when they take on Uganda.
Here are the top 3 players to watch out for from Uganda in their clash against New Zealand.
3. Juma Miyagi

One of the youngest players in the Uganda team, Juma Miyagi has been a hard-working player for his team. The 21-year-old bowls at a steady pace and can trouble the batters with his nagging lines and lengths. Miyagi is also a more than capable batter with the ability to hit the big shots and rotate the strike. His knock against PNG was crucial as he held up one end while Riazat Ali Shah did the run-scoring.
2. Brian Masaba

It has been a below-average campaign for Uganda and its skipper Brian Masaba in particular. The veteran star hasn’t shown the world how dangerous he can be with the bat but with the ball Masaba has been a constant threat. Uganda’s skipper has been picking key wickets at regular intervals with the ball and has been a huge threat in the middle overs.
1. Alpesh Ramjani

The 29-year-old had already been named as one of the players to watch out for before the T20 World Cup. Alpesh Ramjani is a steady left-arm spinner who relies more on the stump-to-stump line and is also a very decent batter. New Zealand openers could struggle against Ramjani considering he is known to be a good bowler with the new-ball.
