The eighth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is set to be played between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators on Friday, April 18, at Karachi’s National Stadium. This will be Karachi Kings’ and Quetta Gladiators’ third match of the ongoing tournament.
Both teams have won only one game so far in the ongoing season and would like to get their second when they clash against each other. Quetta suffered an embarrassing 79-run loss to Lahore Qalandars after a poor batting and bowling performance. However, they are unlikely to make any changes in their squad as its just the start of the tournament.
Here is the predicted Quetta Gladiators’ Playing XI for their clash against Karachi Kings:
Top Order

Quetta’s openers Saud Shakeel and Finn Allen smashed magnificent half-centuries during their first clash, which was against Peshawar Zalmi. However, they both failed to contribute anything to the team in their last clash. On the other hand, Hasan Nawaz also played a 41-run knock in the first match but registered a duck in the second. Quetta would like to keep the same order for the third clash as well.
Middle Order and all-rounders

Quetta has a quite strong middle-order batters like Kusal Mendis, Rilee Rossouw, Shoaib Malik, Akeal Hosein and Faheem Ashraf. Both Mendis and Rossouw have remained consistent in both the matches so far in the league. It would be good if they get support from other batters on the team as well. Malik, Hosein and Faheem also have the brilliant bowling ability to stop the opponents from scoring runs.
Bowlers

Quetta’s bowling attack is also impactful because of bowlers like Mohammad Amir, Abrar Ahmed and Usman Tariq. Amir is leading the team’s pace attack, taking two wickets in the first match. However, he went wicketless in the second match. Abrar and Usman were brilliant in the first match, taking four and two wickets respectively. Both continued the consistency in the second match as well.
