Predicting Top 3 bowlers from India vs England 3rd ODI

Get insights on the top 3 bowlers likely to make an impact in the India vs England 3rd ODI. After taking an unassailable lead of 2-0 with a 4-wicket win in the second ODI, Rohit Sharma’s India will play the ‘down and out’ England in the third and last ODI of the three-match series. Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will host this game on February 12, at 1:30 PM (IST).

Both teams have been through a completely ‘contrasting’ run of form in their respective last five games. India have won and lost two games each, alongside a tied game in their last five ODIs while England have lost four games and won only one in their last appearances in the 50-over format.

India will aim to win this game and beat the tourists by a clean sweep margin of 3-0; on the other hand, the tourists will be eyeing winning this match to get a bit of confidence before their campaign starts in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Given that, here we’ll predict the top 3 bowlers from the upcoming third and last fixture of the ODI series between India and England.

1. Ravindra Jadeja

Star India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been the most economical bowler among both teams in the ongoing three-match ODI series. He has scalped 6 wickets in two innings, with a sensational economy rate of 3.21.

Besides that, he has a decent bowling average of 10.16 and a good bowling strike rate of 3.21. It also includes his best performance of ‘3 wickets at just 26 runs in a match’. Jadeja is also the leading wicket-taker among both teams in the current series.

2 Harshit Rana

Young India pacer Harshit Rana made his ODI debut in the first ODI of the series in Nagpur. He impressed with his bowling performances in the ODI series opener. Rana scalped 3 crucial wickets in the first ODI against the Three Lions. Rana has scalped 4 wickets in two innings, with a decent bowling strike rate of 24.00.

The 23-year-old is also the second leading run-scorer in the series, both for India and overall, among both the teams. Rana is also expected to make it among the top 3 bowlers of the game in the third and last ODI between Rohit Sharma’s men and the tourists.

3. Adil Rashid

Adil Rashid

Amidst a poor run of form for the English bowlers, the veteran leg spinner Adil Rashid has been a bit of a relieving factor for England. He has scalped 3 wickets in two innings, with a decent bowling economy rate of 6.35. He also scalped 2 crucial wickets for the visitors in the first ODI in Nagpur but it couldn’t help them to restrict India.

Rashid is currently the leading wicket-taker for England in the ongoing three-match series. He can also leave an impact with the ball at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad during the third ODI of the series.
