Predicting South Africa’s playing XI for their 2nd ODI against Afghanistan

The most unexpected thing happened in the 1st ODI between Afghanistan and South Africa which shocked the entire cricket world. Playing in a historic series, Afghanistan beat South Africa in the 1st game by six wickets. It was an excellent display of bowling by the hosts as they bowled out the visitors on 106 runs. Thanks to Fazalhaq Farooqi, who claimed four wickets in seven overs. South Africa’s batting order collapsed due to which they lost the game. However, they still have a chance to bounce back in the series by winning the next two games. The 2nd ODI is scheduled on September 20th where they’ll get a chance to take their revenge.

Here’s the predicting XI of South Africa for 2nd ODI game:

Top Order

Reeza Hendricks

The South African top order consists of Reeza Hendricks, Tony de Zorzi and skipper Aiden Markram. All the three are top-class players but luck didn’t favour them in the 1st ODI. They have the ability to smash the bowlers out of the park and get valuable runs for their team. They’ll definitely look to make the most in the upcoming matches.

Middle Order

Tristan Stubbs

Tristan Stubbs, Jason Smith, Kyle Verreynne and Wiaan Mulder form their middle order who are young and talented batters. They are some of the best in the team and didn’t expect this kind of start. Moreover, Stubbs had a wonderful series against West Indies and will try to get back to form in the next match.

Bowlers

Andile Phehlukwayo

The bowlers are Andile Phehlukwayo, Bjohn Fortuin, Nandre Burger and Lungi Ndgidi who did their best to defend the small total in front of the hosts. However, the score was so low that they failed to win the game for their team. But their performance was commendable as compared to the batters. Had the score been more, South Africa would have won the game.
