Predicting Hobart Hurricanes Women’s playing XI for their match against Perth Scorchers Women in WBBL

It is the business end of the WBBL and there are still some big games to watch out for. The Hobart Hurricanes will be up against the Scorchers and they will want to make sure they get a big win to keep their chances in the playoffs alive. Hobart Hurricanes will need the best playing XI against the Scorchers who will also have nothing to lose in the upcoming encounter.

The Hobart Hurricanes season has suddenly had a bit of a hiccup, especially with the two losses they have faced in a row in the season so far. The Hurricanes have been one of the most exciting teams of the season and will want to make the most out of the last match of the league stage to keep their chances alive in the tournament. The Hurricanes will need the perfect squad for the upcoming bout against the Scorchers.

So, here is the predicted playing squad for the Hurricanes for the Sydney Sixers women:

Top order: Lizelle Lee(wk), Elyse Villani(c) and Nicola Carey

The top order has still been the positive point for the Hurricanes this season. Though Lee and Carey did not do much with the bat, they have still been one of the best players for the Hurricanes this season. Villani has played some responsible innings and has proven herself to be a great skipper in the last few games. These three will want to make a statement in the last league game.

Middle-order: Heather Graham, Ruth Johnston, and Chloe Tryon

There is no doubt that Bates is a great player, but so far it has not been something that has helped the Hurricanes to win matches. The Hurricanes should try the likes of Ruth Johnston who has shown some ability with the bat in the past and could also contribute with the ball as well. Heather Graham and Chloe Tryon have been decent with the ball but the Hurricanes will also want to see them give some performances with the bat as well and be the all-rounders they are set out to be.

Lower middle order: Tabatha Saville and Kathryn Bryce

Saville showed some glimpses of potential in the last match and should get a chance in the next match as well. Kathryn Bryce has been a handy player for the Hurricanes as she adds a lot of depth to the squad. These two can give extra options to the team going into the match and it will be interesting to see how they go on to perform and try to prove their worth in the last game of the league stages.

Tailenders- Molly Strano, Amy Smith, and Lauren Smith

Strano might have been expensive in the last game but still has a knack for taking some big wickets in the middle. Amy and Lauren Smith have also been great with the ball as well. These three will be tested against the strong batting lineup for the Scorchers and they will be looking to give some great spells like they have done throughout the tournament so far.
