Predicted India Women’s Playing XI vs South Africa in ODI Tri-Series

The Indian women’s cricket team are playing an ODI Tri-series against South Africa and hosts Sri Lanka. At the end of three games, India are top of the table with four points with two wins and one loss. Having won both their games so far, India entered their second round-robin phase and played hosts Sri Lanka and lost the high-scoring game by three games on Sunday.

In their final league phase match, India is set to take on South Africa and a win will give the Women in Blue safe passage into the finals. If India goes on to lose the game and South Africa also beat Sri Lanka then each team will have four points. This will make things interesting and the equation then comes down to the net run-rate.

Here is the Playing XI for India vs South Africa clash:

Top order

Pratika Rawal

24-year-old Pratika Rawal has been at the top of her game ever since replacing Shafali Varma at the top of the order. In the three games so far, the right-handed batter has scored 163 runs with an average of 81.5 with two half-centuries and also picked a wicket. Smriti Mandhana, has made a slow but steady start to the series with 97 runs from three with a best of 43 in the first game. Mandhana has been one of the consistent scorers for India and a huge score could be just around the corner.

Middle Order

Harleen Deol

Having impressed with her batting in WPL 2025, Harleen Deol has given glimpses of her talent in the first three games. Deol has scored 106 runs from three with a best of 48 not out and averages 53 with the bat. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has been a proven match winner for India. This series, Kaur has batted twice and scored a total of 71 runs and has been dismissed just once. Considered the rock of India’s middle-order, Jemimah Rodrigues has scored 78 runs from two innings with an average of 39. Her best of 41 came in the previous encounter vs South Africa.

Lower-order

Richa Ghosh

Wicket-keeper and batter Richa Ghosh is known to be a powerful hitter of the ball. This was seen in the last game against Sri Lanka where she scored 58 off just 48 balls with five boundaries and three sixes. Deepti Sharma has been having a lean period with the bat having scored just 33 runs from the three matches with an average of 16.5 so far. Deepti has also managed to pick just three wickets so far this series and will need to better her performances. Kashvee Gautam’s form with the ball is a huge worry for India as the 22-year-old has been wicketless so far this campaign.

Tail enders

Arundhati Reddy

Pacer Arundhati Reddy hasn’t been able to do justice to her talents with just three wickets from three games so far. With the likes of Renuka Singh Thakur and Pooja Vastrakar missing it was a huge chance for Reddy to prove her worth with the ball. Sneh Rana has been the best bowler for India this campaign with 11 wickets from three games which also includes a fifer. Young Shree Charani has picked four wickets from three games and has managed to impress everyone in her maiden international outing.
