MLC 2025: Predicting Washington Freedom’s Playing XI for their clash against San Francisco Unicorns 

The Washington Freedom will take on the San Francisco Unicorns in match no. 19 of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 season. With Glenn Maxwell as their captain, the Washington Freedom has won four straight games. The team now ranks third in the league with eight points.  The team is on a winning streak and will aim to maintain it in the upcoming games. 

The San Francisco Unicorns, who are table toppers of the MLC 2025 table, have won all six games so far. The team’s captain, Matt Short, will try to continue the winning run in the games ahead. Mitchell Owen and Rachin Ravindra will start the batting attack for Washington Freedom. Owen scored 89 runs from 52 balls, which helped the team to win the last game against the Texas Super Kings. Andries Gous scored 80 runs from 45 balls and did other work during the run chase. In the last, the top order did half the work for the team. 

Middle Order:

Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell and Glenn Phillips are two of the team’s powerful middle-order batters. Both players can play aggressive cricket and score runs quickly. While Jack Edwards can also hit and take control of the game.

Obus Pienaar

The team will look at two all-rounders,  Obus Pienaar and Mukhtar Ahmed, who can support the batting order. Both players can bat well as well as help in bowling. They can support pacers by bowling to the middle order.

Saurabh Netravalkar

Saurabh Netravalkar is the leader of the bowling unit. With a lot of variation in the bowl, he does not leak runs in four overs of the spell. Matthew Forde and Ian Holland share the new ball with him.
