IPL 2025: Predicting PBKS’s playing XI for their clash against KKR

In their last outing,  Punjab’s fast bowler Lockie Ferguson hobbled off the ground. His participation is doubtful for the next match. Lance Morris, another Australian pacer, may well be a like-to-like replacement for the third pacer position. Yuzvendra Chahal may continue to shoulder the responsibility of spin bowling.

Unlike bowlers, Punjab batters have enjoyed a fairly successful season so far. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh may continue to shoulder opening roles, followed by their most successful batter of the season, Shreyas Iyer. The skipper will be looking to add some important runs to climb up the ladder in the Orange Cap standings. Nehal Wadhera and Marcus Stoinis are expected to form the middle-order pairing, with Maxwell expected to deliver the final touches.

Marco Jansen and Shashank Singh have had a quiet season so far with the bat. The all-rounders will be expected to deliver goods in the death overs. Punjab Kings will have to play a perfect match to get the better of the reigning champions.
