IPL 2025: Predicting LSG’s playing XI for their clash against SRH

The Lucknow Super Giants are eyeing their first win of the Indian Premier League 2025. After facing a close defeat against Delhi Capitals, they are now taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next match. This match will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium and we can expect a run-scoring fest this time as well. 

The team captained by Rishabh Pant has some big power-hitters on the side and will hope that they can get going in the match. They have Nicholas Pooran, Mitchell Marsh, David Miller, and Pant who can go big in the match. Here, we look at LSG’s probable playing XI for their clast against SRH.

Top Order

Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram are a good opening pair. While Marsh can go big, Markram can provide solidarity and keep rotating the strike. Last time, Marsh was in great touch, scoring 72 runs in just 36 balls. He will want to continue that. Joining him last time was Nicholas Pooran, who scored 75 runs in just 30 balls. He has been in great form in the last year or so and will want to continue that against the most challenging side. 

Middle Order

Ayush Badoni is the pocket dynamite for the LSG side; he is a great striker of the ball and the wicket at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium will suit him well. Pant, meanwhile, did not have the best start with the bat. He was out for a duck and will want to redeem himself. David Miller played a great cameo towards the end of their innings to take them over 200 in the match. He is a vital player in the playing XI. As for Shahbaz Ahmed, he has a huge role to fill in as an all-rounder. He will be looking to do well in the next match. 

Bowlers 

Shardul Thakur is a good wicket-taking option for LSG. He will be the leader of the pack and will be expected to take a couple wickets. In addition, he can be a good option with the bat as well. Digvesh Rathi did well last time, but Ravi Bishnoi and Prince Yadav will have to step up their game.
