Under the new captain, Rajat Patidar, the 2016 finalists would hope to go all the way through this time. However, for that, they will have to address some key issues that they faced last season. 3. Secure early wins

Last year, after losing the first game and winning the second, RCB faced back-to-back defeats. This hampered their position in the points table and they had to win almost all of their remaining games. They somehow managed to qualify for the playoffs but would not want to be in the same situation this season. They will have to win more games early and build strong momentum for the team. 

2. Performance by middle-order batters

Apart from Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Rajat Patidar in the top-order, the Men in Red and Blue could not do much with the bat. The new-looking middle order will now have to deliver for the team to stand a chance to win matches. All eyes will be on Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma to deliver. 

1. Bowling woes

The biggest concern for RCB last year was their bowling attack. The players failed to take important wickets and also leaked runs. The team management decided to revamp their attack this season and brought back Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. These two will have a lot of burden on their shoulders to deliver and try to take their team over the line.
