Shubman Gill led from the front with a sensational performance, scoring 430 runs across both innings in the Edgbaston Test. Ravindra Jadeja also made valuable contributions with 158 runs in the two innings combined apart from some crucial breakthroughs. Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant chipped in with half-centuries to build India’s commanding total.

In the bowling department, Mohammed Siraj picked seven wickets while Akash Deep delivered a career-defining spell, finishing with match figures of 10/187. With a complete performance, India bowled out England twice to level the series 1-1 and register their most dominant overseas win by runs.

West Indies (318), North Sound, 2019

Previously, India’s biggest away win came in 2019 against West Indies at North Sound, Antigua, where they triumphed by 318 runs. In that match, India posted 640 runs, with Ajinkya Rahane scoring 81 and 102 in the two innings.

The pace unit ran through the West Indies batting line-up, with Ishant Sharma claiming a five-wicket haul in the first innings and Jasprit Bumrah picking up five in the second. There were contributions from Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, and Hanuma Vihari with the bat which also played a key role in securing the dominant victory.

India’s third-biggest win away from home came in 2017 at Galle, Sri Lanka, where they won by 304 runs. India scored 600 in the first innings, thanks to Shikhar Dhawan’s explosive 190 and Cheteshwar Pujara’s solid 153, with support from Ajinkya Rahane and Hardik Pandya.

Abhinav Mukund’s 81 and Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 103 in the second innings set Sri Lanka a target of 550. The Indian bowlers, led by Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, shared six wickets between them to bowl the hosts out for 245 and secure a clinical win.
