CPL 2025: Most wickets in the tournament (Top 3)

The final of the 13th season of the Caribbean Premier League saw Trinbago Knight Riders take on the Guyana Amazon Warriors. It was the 8th final appearance for the Amazon Warriors. They won the trophy in 2023 after defeating the Knight Riders in the final. The Knight Riders were playing their sixth final. Apart from the 2023 loss, they had won on all four previous occasions. 

The Amazon Warriors won the toss and elected to bat. They finished with 130 runs for the loss of eight wickets. No batter managed to score more than 30 runs. Saurabh Netravalkar was the pick of the bowlers for the Knight Riders and took three wickets for 25 runs. The Knight Riders took 18 overs to reach the target of 131 runs and won the match by three wickets. Akeal Hosein hit the winning runs for the Knight Riders and won the Player of the Match award.

1. Imran Tahir – 23 wickets (Guyana Amazon Warriors)

Imran Tahir finished as the leading wicket-taker this season. He took 20 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 15.04, an economy of 7.20, and a strike rate of 12.52. He took the second-most number of wickets in a season in the CPL. His previous best performance came during the 2023 season, when he took 18 wickets in 12 outings.

2. Usman Tariq – 20 wickets (Trinbago Knight Riders)

Usman Tariq made his CPL debut and finished as the leading wicket-taker for the Knight Riders. He took 20 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 13.95, an economy of 7.31, and a strike rate of 11.45. He took a four-wicket haul twice this season.

3. Gudakesh Motie – 18 wickets (Guyana Amazon Warriors)

Gudakesh Motie took 18 wickets in 12 games at an average of 16.05, an economy of 7.28, and a strike rate of 13.22. He was one of the two bowlers who took a five-wicket haul this season.
