3. Rilee Rossouw
In the PSL, South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw has burst onto the scene, amassing 2249 runs at an average of 32.59 and a strike rate of 145.56. He absolutely has class and provides some real substance in the middle-order. He does not shy away from hoisting the ball into the upper deck either, having hit 90 sixes (and counting).
He has played the role of stabilizer and accelerant for most of his innings. He has three hundred to his resume and has proven he can build an inning and accelerate an inning. While Rossouw and Asif have hit the same number of sixes, Rossouw has done so in 1545 balls — about one six every 17 balls. While not quite as quick as Asif, he still offers a better spread of effort across innings. Rossouw’s combination of timing and elegance helps position him in a different category of six-hitters than Asif.
