BBL 2025-26 – Predicting the Perth Scorchers XI and the Sydney Sixers XI for Final

Perth Scorchers lock horns against Sydney Sixers in the BBL 2025-26 final at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Sunday, January 25. Ashton Turner-led Scorchers finished top of the table, winning seven and losing three from 10 matches.

Meanwhile, Sydney Sixers were placed second, with six wins and three defeats. The Scorchers beat the Sixers in the Qualifier to progress to the final. On the other hand, the Sixers had to beat Hobart Hurricanes in the Challenger to progress to the summit clash.

Here is the predicted Perth Scorchers XI for final of BBL 2025-26:

Perth Scorchers XI

Top Order: Mitchell Marsh, Finn Allen, Aaron Hardie

Finn Allen and Mitchell Marsh have been a formidable opening pair for the Scorchers this season. The former has been in staggering form, needing just four runs to go past Warner as the highest run-getter this season. Aaron Hardie has also batted superbly, scoring 334 runs in 11 innings.

Middle Order: Josh Inglis (WK), Cooper Connolly, Ashton Turner (C)

Josh Inglis will look to bounce back strongly after scoring just 58 runs in four innings. Cooper Connolly has also been woefully out of form with the bat but has taken 15 wickets in 11 matches with the ball. Skipper Ashton Turner has been brilliant, with 241 runs from 11 innings at a strike rate of 189.76.

Lower Order: Laurie Evans, Jhye Richardson

Laurie Evans is another player who has struggled with the bat this season. Jhye Richardson, meanwhile, has bowled well and taken eight wickets in six games.

Bowlers: Brody Couch, David Payne, Mahli Beardman

Brody Couch has five wickets to his name from seven games. David Payne has fared better, picking up eight scalps in five matches. Mahli Beardman, on the other hand, has picked up 11 wickets from 10 matches

Top Order: Daniel Hughes, Steven Smith, Josh Philippe (WK)

Daniel Hughes has had an average outing in BBL 2025-26 but Steve Smith has been in impeccable form. He is averaging 68.75 and has a strike rate of 166.66. Josh Philippe, however, has been good in patches.

Middle Order: Moises Henriques (C), Joel Davies, Lachlan Shaw

Skipper Moises Henriques is averaging a paltry 14.63 with the bat this season. Joel Davies has not scored a fifty this season but he has batted with intent in the middle order. Lachlan Shaw has also done a decent job in the middle order.

Lower Order: Jack Edwards, Ben Dwarshuis

Jack Edwards needs three wickets to become the highest wicket-taker this season. He has 18 scalps from 12 matches at 17.77. Ben Dwarshuis, on the other hand, has 16 wickets from 11 matches at an average of 17.25.

Bowlers: Ben Manenti, Sean Abbott, Mitchell Starc

Ben Manenti has not had a memorable time with the ball, taking just three wickets in eight matches. All eyes will be on the potent seam-bowling duo of Sean Abbott and Mitchell Starc. The latter has nine wickets in four games and has great numbers in finals.
