3 Indian players to watch out for from the 1st Test between AUS vs IND

As the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 is starting on November 22, all eyes will be on the Indian players who are struggling with their form. The young players like Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal have been in good touch while the senior players look out of form. It is a concern for the team management as well since they will have a tough time selecting players to play XI. Against Australia, the bowlers will have a good time in Perth, thanks to the overcast conditions. Ideally, India should go with four pacers and one spinner. Captain Bumrah will try to soak in the pressure of the players before the start of the series but as soon as the game starts, he will have more pressure than usual.

Here are the top three Indian players to watch out for against Australia:

1. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli

Former India skipper Virat Kohli will be an important player in the series because of his record against Australia. The player has scored six hundred in 13 Tests at an average of 54 in Australia and looks comfortable on pace-friendly pitches. If he stops chasing the outside off-ball, he will have a pretty good chance of scoring centuries.

2. Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant

Against Australia or any team in the world, Rishabh Pant has been terrific in red-ball cricket. He has slammed every bowler and helped India win in Australia and England with his outstanding batting performance. Pant has been the backbone of the Indian team for a couple of years now, and the opponents know this. Australians will try to keep him quiet during the series but it depends on Pant, as to how he takes everything.

3. Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah

India’s current skipper Jasprit Bumrah will be the third player to watch out for because of his solid bowling performance in the past. Bumrah has had a good record in overseas conditions and since there will be rain interruptions, the pace bowlers will get good help from the environment. Hence, Bumrah will have a huge role to play in the first Test match.
