Indian batter Karun Nair’s cricketing career has been a mix of highs, setbacks, and a brilliant comeback. The right-handed batter burst into the scene with a stunning 303* against England in 2016, becoming only the second Indian to score a triple century in Tests. But this memorable phase was short-lived as he was dropped just a few matches later and spent the next eight years fighting to stay relevant in Indian cricket.
Between 2017 and 2022, Nair’s form dipped, leading to his exclusion from the Karnataka team across formats. With IPL opportunities also limited, he moved to Vidarbha in 2023 to revive his career. He smashed 863 runs in the 2024–25 Ranji season and broke the List A record for most runs (542) without dismissal in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
In June 2025, Nair earned a long-awaited Test recall for the England series. Though the comeback didn’t get big runs, his highest being 52*. Over the years, the cricketer’s net worth and salary have also seen some ups and downs.
