Khwaja can’t go to India because of not getting a visa!

ভিসা না পাওয়ায় ভারতে যেতে পারছেন না খাজা

Australia will play a Test series against India this month. Team Australia has already flown to India. But their best Test cricketer Usman Khawaja is not with the team. This year, Khawaja was selected as Australia’s cricketer of the year. The in-form cricketer could be one of Australia’s best weapons against India. But he could not get on the plane with the team!

The fact is, Team Australia flew to India without him due to not getting a visa. Khawaja himself said that. Recently, he said through social media, “I am looking forward to going to India, and eagerly waiting for this. Now I am just waiting for a visa”. But it is expected that he will get the visa very soon. Khawaja will fly to India only after getting the visa. After that he will directly join the team by stepping in India.

India – Australia will face each other on the field from February 9. Before that, however, Pat Cummins will practice at an out-of-town location. First Test will be held in Nagpur on February 9. After the training, Team Australia will leave for Nagpur. It is believed that their important left-handed opener Usman Khawaja will be with the team there.

Last Monday, Khawaja was selected as Australia’s Test Cricketer of the Year. He also received the ‘Shane Warne Award’ as Australia’s best male test batsman. He scored more than 1000 runs at an average of 78.46 last year. Although Khawaja plays for Australia, he is a cricketer of Pakistani origin. He has played a total of 56 Tests, 40 ODIs and 9 T20Is for Australia so far. But he is mainly known as a Test cricketer.

Meanwhile, Khawaja, who was in the Australian team for the Indian tour, was the only cricketer who did not get a visa. However, the incident of Khawaja not getting a visa to visit India has happened before. He had to rush to get a visa to visit India in the 2011 franchise T20 tournament Championship League. However, he got the visa later.

It is to be noted that a special question has to be answered as a pre-condition for obtaining an Indian visa. That is, whether the applicant’s parents are Pakistani or not. Meanwhile, Khawaja is an Australian cricketer of Pakistani origin. He was born in Islamabad, Pakistan. He is a Pakistani by birth but moved to Australia in 1989 and now holds Australian citizenship. Khawaja is having trouble getting a visa mainly because of his Pakistani origin.
