Virat Kohli scales unprecedented feat, becomes first Asian to breach 250 million followers on Instagram

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s fan following knows no bounds, and the batting maestro has shattered yet another record by becoming the first Indian to reach 250 million followers on Instagram. He is only behind football icons Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the list of most followed sporting personalities on Instagram. 

The batting stalwart is in a league of his own when it comes to fan following. He is miles ahead of Indian icons Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, who are the most famous cricketing personalities on Instagram behind Virat Kohli.

Former Indian skipper and Chennai Super Kings icon MS Dhoni (42.5M) is second on the list of cricketers with the most followers on Instagram. While Sachin Tendulkar (40.5M) is right behind MS, Rohit Sharma (28.5M) and Hardik Pandya (25.9M) conclude the top five. 

Former Indian star and CSK legend Suresh Raina (23.8M) is sixth on the list, followed by South African great AB de Villiers (21.9M) in seventh place. Former Indian all-rounder and 2011 World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh (17.5M) is in seventh place with Shikhar Dhawan (13.7M) and KL Rahul (14.2M) concluding the list.
