With the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 rapidly approaching its end. It was yet another season of disappointment for the Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore. One of the most popular sides in the tournament, the coveted IPL title still eludes the star-studded franchise.

They played their last game of the league stage against defending champions Gujarat Titans, and despite Kohli’s magnificent ton in the first innings, Gill’s century during the run chase played spoilsport as Bangalore were eliminated from the tournament.

Following the heartbreaking exit from the IPL 2023, ace Indian batter Virat Kohli took to social media to reflect on the season and thanked the fans for their unparalleled support for the side.

“A season which had its moments, but unfortunately we fell short of the goal, disappointed, but we must hold our heads high. To our loyal supporters, grateful for backing us every step of the way. A big thank you to the coaches, management, and my teammates. We aim to be back stronger,” Kohli wrote on Instagram.
