India and Pakistan will meet in the men’s T20 gold medal match at the 20th Asian Games on October 3, 2026, at Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin. The match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM IST.

This is the first time the two sides have faced each other in an Asian Games gold medal match. India are the defending champions, while Pakistan are chasing their first Asian Games cricket title.

Here are the top three batters to watch out for in Asian Games 2026 final:

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

Left-handed batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been one of India’s most eye-catching performers in T20 international cricket, accumulating 231 runs in seven T20Is at a strike rate of 187.81. The teenager opened the batting for India in the semi-final against Sri Lanka and contributed 38 runs off just 21 deliveries. His ability to score at a rapid pace from the top of the order makes him a key figure for India as they look to set or chase a competitive total in the final.

2. Ishan Kishan

Wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was India’s standout performer in the semi-final against Sri Lanka on October 1, 2026. Batting through the innings, Kishan remained unbeaten on 80 off 46 balls, smashing five sixes and four boundaries as India posted 169/7 before securing a 124-run victory. The left-handed batter has been a consistent performer in the T20I format, scoring 1,781 runs in 60 matches at an average of 31.25. His aggressive approach at the top will be crucial in the final against Pakistan. One of the key battles could be Kishan taking on Pakistan’s mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed.

3. Sahibzada Farhan

Pakistan skipper Sahibzada Farhan leads Pakistan into the gold medal match as captain. He has scored 1,306 runs in 46 T20Is and brings considerable experience to the top of the Pakistan order. Farhan managed only one run in the semi-final against Bangladesh, meaning he will be eager to make a significant contribution in the final. As captain, his form with the bat will be central to Pakistan’s hopes of claiming their first Asian Games cricket gold medal.
