Predicted Playing XI of Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in Match 21 of CPL 2026 against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots

Predicted Playing XI of Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in Match 21 of CPL 2026 against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons will take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Match 21 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 at Warner Park, Basseterre, on August 30. The Falcons have enjoyed a considerably better campaign than the Patriots so far and will look to strengthen their position in the points table with another victory.

The Falcons have won four of their seven matches and come into this fixture with three victories in their last four games. They also defeated the Patriots by three wickets earlier in the season, making them favourites to complete a season double over Jason Holder’s side.

Moeen Ali’s team has plenty of experience in its ranks, with Evin Lewis, Kusal Perera, Shadab Khan, Fabian Allen, Alzarri Joseph and Jayden Seales all capable of making significant contributions. The squad also has several exciting young players, giving the Falcons plenty of options when it comes to team combination.

Here is the predicted playing XI of Antigua and Barbuda Falcons for Match 21 of CPL 2026 against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots:

1. Evin Lewis

Evin Lewis is expected to return to the playing XI at the top of the order.

The explosive left-hander has been one of Antigua’s most productive batters this season, leading the Falcons’ run charts with 113 runs before Match 16.

Lewis’ ability to attack from the first ball makes him an ideal Powerplay batter. Against a Patriots attack featuring Saurabh Netravalkar and Obed McCoy, he will look to exploit the fielding restrictions and give the Falcons a fast start.

2. Amir Jangoo (WK)

Amir Jangoo should open alongside Lewis and continue as wicketkeeper.

Jangoo provides a more measured presence at the top and can complement Lewis’ aggressive approach. His ability to rotate the strike will be particularly important if the Patriots’ bowlers manage to restrict boundaries early.

Behind the stumps, Jangoo will also have an important role against the Falcons’ varied spin attack.

3. Karima Gore

Karima Gore is likely to bat at No. 3.

The left-handed all-rounder gives the Falcons another player capable of contributing in multiple departments. He can provide stability after an early wicket while also offering a useful bowling option.

His role could become particularly important against the Patriots’ leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga.

4. Hasan Nawaz

Hasan Nawaz is expected to occupy the No. 4 position.

The Pakistan batter brings an attacking approach to the Falcons’ middle order and can accelerate once the Powerplay field restrictions disappear.

If Lewis and Jangoo establish a strong platform, Nawaz will have the freedom to take on the Patriots’ spinners. Conversely, if the Falcons lose early wickets, he will have to prioritise rebuilding the innings.

5. Moeen Ali (C)

Captain Moeen Ali should come in at No. 5.

Moeen remains one of the most experienced players in the Falcons’ squad and is central to their balance. His ability to contribute with both bat and off-spin gives the Falcons plenty of tactical flexibility.

He also played an important role in the Falcons’ previous victory over the Patriots, making another influential performance a major possibility.

As captain, Moeen will have to manage a bowling attack containing several contrasting options, particularly if Warner Park offers assistance to the spinners.

6. Shadab Khan

Shadab Khan is likely to slot in at No. 6.

The Pakistan all-rounder provides explosive lower-middle-order batting as well as quality leg-spin. He made an impact when the Falcons defeated the Patriots earlier in the tournament, scoring a quick 30 off 12 balls.

His ability to change the game in a matter of overs makes him one of Antigua’s most dangerous players.

7. Fabian Allen

Fabian Allen should feature at No. 7.

The West Indies all-rounder gives the Falcons valuable depth with both bat and ball. His left-arm spin can be particularly useful alongside Moeen and Shadab, while his power-hitting makes him capable of producing a late cameo.

Allen’s fielding is another major asset and could prove important in a close contest.

8. Shamar Springer

Shamar Springer is expected to retain his place after an excellent campaign with the ball.

He was the Falcons’ leading wicket-taker at one stage of the tournament, with nine wickets, highlighting his importance to the bowling attack.

Springer’s ability to bowl useful medium-fast deliveries and contribute lower-order runs gives Moeen an important all-round option.

9. Sufiyan Muqeem

Sufiyan Muqeem could be picked as the second specialist spinner.

The Pakistan left-arm wrist-spinner offers a completely different challenge from Shadab and Moeen. His variations can make it difficult for batters to settle, particularly on a slower surface.

His battle against the Patriots’ right-handed-heavy middle order could be fascinating.

10. Alzarri Joseph

Alzarri Joseph should lead the Falcons’ pace attack.

The West Indies fast bowler brings genuine pace and international experience to the lineup. His ability to generate bounce and hit hard lengths makes him particularly dangerous with the new ball.

Joseph will be expected to attack Johnson Charles and Kyle Mayers early and provide Moeen with breakthroughs when needed.

11. Jayden Seales

Jayden Seales is likely to partner Joseph with the new ball.

Seales has developed into a reliable Caribbean seamer and offers excellent control alongside Joseph’s raw pace. His ability to move the ball and bowl disciplined lines makes him a major threat during the Powerplay.

He could also be trusted with crucial overs at the death.

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons Predicted Playing XI

Evin Lewis, Amir Jangoo (WK), Karima Gore, Hasan Nawaz, Moeen Ali (C), Shadab Khan, Fabian Allen, Shamar Springer, Sufiyan Muqeem, Alzarri Joseph, Jayden Seales
