In a battle between the top two teams of The Hundred Men’s 2026, the Manchester Super Giants (MSG) play host to the Trent Rockets (TRT) at Old Trafford on Friday, July 31. Both sides are currently positioned first and second, respectively, in the points standings. 

MSG started the season with two consecutive victories before suffering defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Leeds in their past outing. The team that was originally named Manchester Originals have a solid batting unit, with former England captain Jos Buttler’s return to form a huge bonus for the title charge. 

TRT, on the other hand, had an inverse start to the 2026 season, having suffered an opening game defeat before winning their next two matches on the bounce. They come into the game on the back of a win over the Welsh Fire in Cardiff.
