Zimbabwe are set to host Bangladesh for a full-fledged bilateral series beginning next month, featuring one Test, three ODIs, and three T20Is across Harare and Bulawayo.
The tour will begin with a one-off Test match at Harare Sports Club on June 28. The last time the two sides faced each other in a Test series, Zimbabwe stunned Bangladesh with a memorable victory before the series ended 1-1, highlighting the growing competitiveness between the teams in red-ball cricket.
Following the Test, both teams will remain in Harare for the ODI leg of the tour. The three-match ODI series is scheduled for July 6, 9, and 11. After the conclusion of the 50-over matches, the action will shift to Bulawayo for the T20I series, with games set to be played on July 15, 17, and 19.
Bangladesh last toured Zimbabwe in 2022, when the hosts produced an impressive performance to clinch both the ODI and T20I series. Zimbabwe will also enter the upcoming assignment with confidence after their strong showing at the recent T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, where they reached the Super Eights stage for the first time in their history.
“We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats. This tour is hugely significant for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home venues following the team’s outstanding performances at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year,” said ZC Managing Director Givemore Makoni as quoted by Cricbuzz.
