Mumbai Indians spinner AM Ghazanfar turned the game on its head with a brilliant double strike against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 29 in the Indian Premier League 2026 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. After MI posted a massive 243/5, Ghazanfar stepped up in the ninth over to shift momentum.
He first dismissed Abhishek Sharma with a tossed-up delivery that induced a mistimed slog, resulting in a leading edge. Trent Boult moved swiftly to his left to complete a comfortable catch. The left-handed batter dismissed for 45 runs in 24 balls.
On the very next ball, Ghazanfar struck again, removing Ishan Kishan for a golden duck. A clever slider cramped the batter for room, forcing an awkward cut that resulted in an under-edge onto the stumps. The back-to-back wickets brought Mumbai Indians roaring back into the contest.
