In the 26th match of the IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will face Delhi Capitals (DC). The defending champions have performed well so far this season, winning four matches and currently hold the second position in the points table with eight points. They won their previous match by five wickets against Lucknow Super Giants, successfully chasing a target of 147 runs in just 15.1 overs. Virat Kohli scored 49 runs off 34 balls, while captain Rajat Patidar smashed 27 runs off 13 balls and helped his team to chase the target. In the bowling department, Rasikh Salam Dar took four wickets.

On the other hand, after a strong start to the tournament, Delhi Capitals lost their momentum and suffered back-to-back defeats against Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings and currently stand in fifth in the points table. In their last match, they failed to chase down the target of 213 runs against CSK and were bowled out for 189 runs. 

The middle order lacked finishing power, and the run chase faltered due to lack of partnerships and poor control under pressure. Delhi Capitals need a collective improvement across departments to challenge stronger sides, especially against in-form sides like RCB
