Star cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has spilt the beans on his unique hairstyle and new look for the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Jadeja is currently representing the Rajasthan Royals, and was quite impressive in their opening match against Chennai Super Kings, which also happens to be the old franchise for the cricketer.
Regarding his hairstyle, fans on social media are comparing him to a popular character from the ‘Dhurandhar‘ movie. However, Jadeja has said that he opted to keep his hair short, thinking that not having to maintain the hairstyle will allow him to pay more attention towards his game, as he hopes to bring the long-awaited second IPL title for the Jaipur-based team.
“I was thinking the matches will be back-to-back for two and a half months, so there won’t be any plans to go outside. So, I decided to focus on the game and focus on cricket. If I don’t focus on my hair, I’ll be able to focus better on practice and the matches,” Jadeja was heard saying in a video uploaded by Rajasthan Royals.

Jadeja picked up the important wicket of Shivam Dube, who had hit him for a six off the first ball. However, it took only three balls for the veteran spinner to turn the tides in his favour, as he got Dube caught on the long-off region. His unique celebration after picking up the wicket caught widespread attention, and now, the 36-year-old has revealed the story behind it.
“When I used to play for Chennai Super Kings, I used to do this celebration. So I thought, why not let this celebration to be continued, especially against CSK?” the seasoned campaigner said.
Jadeja further said that his family, especially his daughter and wife, are quite excited upon seeing him don the RR jersey, since it also matches their favourite colour, pink. Jadeja believes that it is a lucky colour for him and hopes that it will bring good luck to the team in the matches going forward as well.
“My family is happy [that I am playing for Rajasthan Royals]. My wife and daughter are very happy. Pink is the favourite colour of both my wife and my daughter. So they are obviously liking it a lot. But hopefully, this colour will bring a lot of blessings for the team and myself in the upcoming games of the season,” Jadeja concluded.
Jadeja and RR will next be seen in action for their game against the Gujarat Titans on Saturday, April 04. The fierce encounter between the neighbouring teams will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
