WPL 2026 – Predicting the Royal Challengers Bengaluru XI and the Mumbai Indians Women XI for Match 16

Royal Challengers Bengaluru take on Mumbai Indians in a highly-anticipated clash in the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026. The BCA Stadium in Vadodara will host the encounter on Monday, January 26. The Royal Challengers finally lost their first game of the season as Delhi Capitals defeated them on Saturday by seven wickets.

However, Smriti Mandhana and Co. will not be too concerned as they have already qualified for the playoffs and are sitting pretty at the top of the table. Mumbai Indians, however, will want to win this fixture as they are stranded at No. 4, with just two wins from six matches.

Here is the predicted Royal Challengers Bengaluru XI for match 16 of WPL 2026:

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Top Order: Grace Harris, Smriti Mandhana (C), Georgia Voll

Grace Harris has scored her runs at a fair clip but has been inconsistent. Smriti Mandhana is third on the list of leading run-getters in WPL 2026. Georgia Voll has scored one fifty and been dismissed cheaply in three appearances this season.

Middle Order: Gautami Naik, Richa Ghosh (WK), Nadine de Klerk

Like Voll, Gautami Naik has also scored one fifty and been dismissed twice for low scores. Richa Ghosh, on the other hand, has fared decently but has not scored a half-century as yet. Nadine de Klerk has a batting average of 49, and picked up 10 wickets in six matches.

Lower Order: Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Arundhati Reddy

Radha Yadav has a half-century to her name this season and bagged two wickets as well. Shreyanka Patil has nine wickets from six matches at an average of 20.22. Meanwhile, Arundhati Reddy has taken only one wicket from four matches.

Bowlers: Sayali Satghare, Lauren Bell

Sayali Satghare has performed brilliantly, picking up eight wickets in three games at an average of 8.25. Lauren Bell went wicketless in the last game against Delhi Capitals. This was the first time the England pacer failed to pick up a wicket in a match in WPL 2026.

Mumbai Indians Women

Top Order: Hayley Matthews, Sajeevan Sajana, Nat Sciver-Brunt

Hayley Matthews has failed to live up to her expectations this season. She has scored 47 runs in three matches and picked up two wickets. Sajeevan Sajana has scored 70 runs in five innings at an average of 17.50. Nat Sciver-Brunt has 219 runs in five innings at an average of 54.75 and picked up seven wickets.

Middle Order: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Rahila Firdous (WK), Nicola Carey

Harmanpreet Kaur is the second-highest run-getter this season so far. She has 240 runs in six innings at an average of 60 and a strike rate of 143.72. Rahil Firdous played the last game but did not get to bat. Meanwhile, Nicola Carey has 149 runs in six innings at an average of 37.25 and seven wickets at 25.43.

Lower Order: Amanjot Kaur, Vaishnavi Sharma, Poonam Khemnar

Amanjot Kaur is averaging 30.50 with the bat and has taken three wickets in the six matches she has played this season. Vaishnavi Sharma made her WPL debut in the last game and finished with figures of 1/20 in four overs. Mumbai’s usage of Poonam Khemnar has been confusing. She has batted only once in five matches and not bowled a single ball.

Bowlers: Sanskriti Gupta, Shabnim Ismail

Sanskriti Gupta has one wicket from six matches at an average of 65. Meanwhile, Shabnim Ismail has taken three wickets from five matches at an average of 39.67.
