Singer-composer Palash Muchhal recently visited spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj in the aftermath of his postponed wedding with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana. The couple’s marriage, originally scheduled for November 23, was put on hold following sudden medical emergencies in both families.
The celebrations were progressing smoothly until the morning of the wedding day, when Smriti’s father fell critically ill and had to be rushed to the hospital. Within 24 hours, Palash too was admitted to a hospital in Sangli before being shifted to Mumbai.
The family later confirmed that the wedding was postponed solely due to these health issues. Until then, the pre-wedding events, including the Mehendi and Haldi ceremonies, had taken place. Soon after recovering, Palash paid a visit to Premanand Maharaj. Photos of his visit quickly went viral. Many interpreted the visit as a sign of Palash seeking blessings during a tough time.
No confirmation on Smriti-Palash’s new wedding date
Notably, the sudden halt in festivities triggered a series of online theories, especially after fans noticed that Smriti deleted all wedding-related photos from her Instagram. Both families, however, have repeatedly clarified that the decision to postpone was due to unavoidable medical reasons.
Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, revealed that the wedding will still take place once the situation stabilizes. His sister Palak issued a public appeal asking people not to add pressure during an already sensitive period. Amid the ongoing discussions, Smriti skipped the scheduled shoot of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, where several of her teammates were seen. Both Smriti’s father and Palash have now been discharged from the hospital, but neither family has confirmed a new date for the wedding.
