Arjun Tendulkar, who has been associated with the Mumbai Indians (MI) since 2020, has found a new home in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction, which is reportedly set to be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16, Tendulkar has been traded to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) from MI.

The left-arm seam-bowling all-rounder has played five games for MI in as many seasons, picking up three wickets. After travelling with the MI contingent to the UAE as a net bowler in 2020, Tendulkar was signed for his base price of INR 20 lakh ahead of the following season. He was re-signed by the five-time champions for INR 30 lakh in the IPL 2022 mega-auction after the Gujarat Titans placed a single bid for him.

In his first two seasons, Tendulkar had to watch the action from the sidelines as his IPL debut eluded him. However, in IPL 2023, he finally managed to break into the playing XI. The talented cricketer took the new ball for MI in IPL 2023 and picked up three wickets in four games. However, he gave away 92 runs in 59 balls.

One of his most forgettable moments came in a match between the Punjab Kings and the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, where he proved quite expensive. In IPL 2024, Tendulkar played just one match, giving away 22 runs in 2.2 overs and going wicketless.

In the IPL 2025 mega-auction, the Mumbai-born went unsold in the first round. However, MI secured his services later in the auction. Tendulkar, however, had to spend the entire season on the bench, as MI handed maiden caps to fellow pacers Ashwani Kumar and Satyanarayana Raju.

Tendulkar would look to get more opportunities during his time at LSG and learn from some of the stalwarts of the game, like captain Rishabh Pant, Nicholas Pooran, Aiden Markram, and Mitchell Marsh, among others.
