Saim Ayub was dismissed on a silver duck in Match 10 of Asia Cup 2025 between United Arab Emirates and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, September 17 as UAE struck in the first over of the match after opting to field first.
The left-handed batter slashed hard at a short and wide delivery which was going across him. The ball took the outside edge of the willow and flew straight into the hands of Muhammad Rohid at third man. The ball was not a wicket-taking one, but Ayub had to walk back after disappointing once again.
Ayub’s woes continued in the current installment of the continental event. Before this encounter, he had been dismissed while facing his first ball on two occasions: LBW against Oman and caught at point against India. The southpaw failed to provide a start for his side once again, this time in a do-or-die clash against the hosts.
