Prithvi Shaw and his rumoured girlfriend, Akriti Agarwal, celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi as the latter posted pictures from the auspicious occasion. Agarwal is a popular social media influencer who is speculated to be dating the former India opening batter.
Last month, Shaw posted a few pictures posing on the Nusa Penida Island in Indonesia. Agarwal wrote: “My perfect view” in the comment box, to which Shaw replied with “Ayyyy you”. This drew the attention of several fans on social media.
Agarwal has over 3.3 million followers on Instagram. Meanwhile, on her YouTube channel, she has close to 90,000 subscribers. They have also been spotted a couple of times in Mumbai.
She extended her wishes to her fans and well-wishers on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, with Shaw standing by her side.

On the cricketing front, Shaw moved to Maharashtra from Mumbai earlier this year. He smashed a century in his maiden outing for his new team. This was in a Buchi Babu Trophy 2025 clash between Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh on a rank turner in Chennai. While the surface had plenty of assistance for the spinners, Shaw played his naturally aggressive game and smashed his way to a belligerent ton.
Shaw went unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega-auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last year. While many fans expected him to be signed as an injury substitute if required by any team during the tournament, that wasn’t the case. He had to watch the entire tournament from the sidelines.
The right-handed batter has played five Tests, six ODIs, and one T20I for India. However, his last international appearance came in July 2021. Shaw would hope that playing for a new team would help him revive his career. A strong domestic season for Maharashtra will help him get back in contention for a comeback to the Indian team.
