Welsh Fire Women will be up against London Spirit Women in the sixth match of the Women’s Hundred on Saturday, August 9, at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. London Spirit made a positive start to their campaign with a 17-run win over Oval Invincibles Women. Grace Harris played an outstanding knock of 89 runs off 42 deliveries for the team and remained unbeaten. Welsh Fire was bundled out for less than 100 runs against Northern Superchargers Women in their first outing of the season, while chasing a target of 142 runs.

Here are the top three player battles to watch out for in Welsh Fire Women vs London Spirit Women, Match 6, The Hundred Women’s 2025:

Tammy Beaumont is one of the most prolific run-scorers in the tournament and has amassed plenty of runs against all the bowlers. However, she is yet to score a run against Sarah Glenn. The two had a face-off last season, and Gleen had the last laugh as she bowled two deliveries to Beaumont and took her wicket without conceding any runs.

2. Hayley Matthews (Welsh Fire) vs Charlie Dean (London Spirit):

Hayley Matthews has faced Charlie Dean on three occasions. Matthews made 15 runs off 12 deliveries against Dean in a T20I game last year. During the Women’s Hundred last season, Matthews did not have the same kind of outing against her. She could just score seven runs off 17 deliveries from Dean. Dean has not dismissed Matthews so far.

3. Jess Jonassen (Welsh Fire) vs Grace Harris (London Spirit):
