The Hundred Men’s 2025: Predicting Oval Invincibles XI for match 1

The Oval Invincibles will take on the London Spirit in the first match of the Hundred Men’s 2025 tournament at Lord’s, London, on 5 August 5.

The Oval Invincibles was the best team in the group stages, winning six of eight games to finish at the top of the standings last season. They won the championship after defeating the Southern Brave in the finals.

Miles Hammond

Miles Hammond and Will Jacks will open the innings for the Invincibles with Sam Curran at the no. 3 spot. Hammond has a decent record with 232 runs in 16 hundred games thus far with a best of 44*. Jacks, meanwhile, has 790 runs with a best of 108* and a strike rate of 162.71. He also has 14 wickets to his name. Sam Curran has 33 wickets at an economy of 8.64 and 519 runs a strike rate of 141.03 in the Hundred.

Sam Billings

Sam Billings will captain and keep wickets for the Invincibles. He has 441 runs at a strike rate of 132.03 and has 17 catches and three stumpings. Jordan Cox has 573 runs with a best of 73* and a strike rate of 143.60 in the Hundred, while Donovan Ferreira made 122 runs at a strike rate of 174.28 for Invincibles last season.

Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan has 24 wickets in 16 hundred games with a best of 4/24 and an economy of 8.49. Tom Curran has 410 runs in the Hundred at a 174.60 strike rate and has taken 28 wickets, with 4/24 as his best bowling.

Jason Behrendorff

This will be the first time for Jason Behrendorff will take part in the Men’s Hundred, but he has an impressive 203 wickets in 168 T20 games. Nathan Sowter has 20 wickets in 23  games in the Hundred with a best of 3/34. Saqib Mahmood has picked 12 wickets in 12 games in the Hundred tournament with the best of 3/17.
