He featured in 93 Test matches for the West Indies and scored 8032 runs at an average of 57.78. His highest Test score of 365 not-out came against Pakistan in 1958 and is the only player on this list with a triple-century to his name. He picked a total of 235 wickets at an average of 34.03 and had six five-wicket hauls to his name.

2. Jacques Kallis (South Africa)

Jacques Kallis is the only player who has won more than 20 Player of the Match awards in Test cricket. Most of these awards came for his all-round performances. He played his first Test match in 1995 and bid adieu to the format in 2013. In his career that spanned over 18 years, Kallis played 166 Test matches for the Proteas and finished with 13289 runs at an average of 55.37. He hit 45 centuries, which is still the second-highest to date. With the ball, Kallis picked 292 wickets at an average of 32.65.

3. Ben Stokes (England)

Ben Stokes is among the few English cricketers who have won an ODI as well as the T20 World Cup. However, his Test record shines brighter than any other format. The current English captain made his Test debut in 2013 against Australia and has played a total of 115 Test matches so far. He has amassed 7032 runs at an average of 35.69 and has 14 centuries to his name. Stokes has taken 230 wickets as well at an average of 31.64.
